The Gene Zwozdesky Centre at Norwood

The Gene Zwozdesky Centre at Norwood (formerly CapitalCare Norwood) in Kingsway completed its new 7-storey West Tower in late 2023, with residents moving in by early 2024. The $364-million project, designed to boost complex and palliative care capacity to 350+ beds.

The new facility includes specialized services like pulmonary rehabilitation, a dental clinic, and an expanded Comprehensive Home Option of Integrated Care for the Elderly (CHOICE) program.

The project is designed to improve community integration, featuring improved landscaping and a design that connects with the surrounding Edmonton neighbourhood.
